THE EVENT

The second annual Free Throws for Fibrosis is a fun and fit activity for 10-100+ year olds, with all participants shooting 100 free throws. Free Throws for Fibrosis brings together the community and those living with Pulmonary Fibrosis to have a great time and help find a cure.

ABOUT GARY

Gary Talbot, a resident of Traverse City for 30 years and a lifetime athlete, coach and spectator of basketball, was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2006. He gratefully received a lung donation in 2009, from the life donation of Scott. Gary lost his battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis on April 21, 2013.

HOW TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  1. Register to shoot 100 Free Throws and help fund research to find a cure or treatment for Pulmonary Fibrosis. Open to competitive players and non-athletes age 10-100.
  2. Pledge a participant

  4. Donate to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
